- Residential protections to guard against incompatible land uses with the potential to devalue property & impact quality of life
- Special Lake Overlay protections for Lakes Keowee, Jocassee shorelines
- Height restrictions for buildings
Initiated, championed, and achieved in the contractual Relicensing Agreement required for Duke Energy’s new 30-year Federal license for the Keowee-Toxaway Project mandates to
- Preclude commercial marinas other than in very limited areas, and not at all in constricted waterways
- Preclude commercial development of selected public access areas on Lake Keowee that would most impact neighboring residential areas
